Highway 40 was completely closed to traffic on Wednesday morning, after a heavy truck hung a pedestrian bridge in the area of Repentigny.
In a spectacular exclusive video, it is possible to see the truck crashing into the pedestrian bridge.
The incident occurred shortly after 11:30 am on Highway 40 East near the exit of Brien Boulevard.
Several emergency services were on site at the beginning of the lunch hour, notably to recover debris on the roadway and to check if the structure of the bridge was damaged.
