Our Philosophy
Terry Rawn – Director of International Relations
Born in Collingwood, Ontario. Started as an operator for Badger Daylighting in ’97, worked there for 10 years and ended as an Assistant Manager. Terry envisioned Hydrovac Nation for years before making it a reality. He’s passionate about photography and his two beautiful daughters.
Adam Russell – Director of Eastern Canada
Born in Newfoundland, moved to Ontario in ’90. Began working at Sewer Matic in ’93, graduated from Algonquin College as a truck and coach technician in ’01 and started his own business, Russell’s Mobile, 24/7 mobile heavy truck repair service. In ’04, Adam then worked with Clean Water Works Inc. as a Fleet Manager maintaining 240 vehicles. Adam lives in Ottawa with his wife and Son.
Jon Nysse – Director of Sales and Marketing
Jon Nysse (pronounced Nicee) joined Hydrovac Nation as a team partner to assist with business development in November 2017. Jon was assisting Hydrovac Nation, behind the scenes, for about a year before officially joining the team. Jon lives about an hour from Minneapolis, MN and brings with him 20+ years of government sales and marketing experience. Recently Jon has worked in the hydro excavation industry developing a huge distributor base for a nozzle company. His direct efforts were responsible for making that nozzle one of the best selling nozzles in the hydro excavation industry. Jon now sells hydrovac trucks for a leading manufacturer. If he is not trying to sell you a truck or Hydrovac Nation advertising then he is probably out on his motorcycle or hanging out with his two wonderful high school aged boys.
Anastasia Burman – Administrative Director
Anastasia, born and raised in Calgary, worked for 16 years in the Canadian banking industry in operations/communications and business banking. Anastasia has an abundance of administration experience and after receiving her Project Management Certification Anastasia successfully organized events and fundraisers from 2-2,000 people.
Mike Schmidt – Director of Western Canada
Born and raised in Kelowna, BC. Moved to Alberta in the mid 90’s where Mike started with Badger Daylighting spending 11 years there ending as an Area Manager. Mike has been involved in the Hydrovac Industry for over 20 years covering everything from truck ownership to unit sales/service and Consulting.
Family, friends and his involvement in the local motorcycling community fills his free time.
